Privacy policy

Thamy is a customizable Chrome new-tab extension. It has no developer-operated analytics, advertising, accounts, or remote data-storage service.

Information Thamy handles

• Chrome browsing history: read locally to provide recent-site and autocomplete suggestions. Thamy does not create a separate history log or send browsing history to the developer.
• Preferences and shortcuts: settings such as your display name, theme, and shortcut URLs are stored with Chrome Storage Sync when available. Chrome may synchronize this information through the Google account configured in Chrome. The selected background is stored locally because uploaded images are device-specific.
• Uploaded backgrounds: image files are stored locally in the extension's IndexedDB storage and are not synchronized or sent to the developer.
• Search queries: submitted through Chrome's Search API to the search provider selected in your Chrome settings. Thamy does not receive or retain those queries.
• Favicons: requested through Chrome's local favicon API. Thamy does not send page URLs to an external favicon service.

Sharing and selling

Thamy does not sell personal information, use it for advertising or credit decisions, or provide it to the developer or other third parties. Chrome Sync, your selected search provider, and websites you choose to open process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Retention and control

Preferences remain until you reset Thamy, remove them through Chrome, or uninstall the extension. Uploaded backgrounds can be deleted from Thamy's background gallery. Browsing history remains under Chrome's history controls.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Thamy's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
